Feeling a Little Funky

on August 15, 2012

I don’t know if it’s the change in the weather, the insanity at work, the fact that although next week is supposed to be my last week of summer holidays and I’m too busy to take them, or what, but I am in a bit of a funk.

I have no desire to do anything.  It was a struggle to get out of bed this morning.  I’m already dreading having to squeeze in a 4 or 6k run after work before I go for a massage at 8pm (thank God I’ve got the massage to look forward to).  I can’t even decide what to have for lunch today.  Not having any Clean Eating leftovers in the fridge sucks.

I’m really hoping that when I get home from work, throw on my run gear, tie up my shoes and actually get out the door and onto the road that all my funkiness will disappear.  You know what they say:

one run away from a good mood

Hopefully this is true.  I will let you know later tonight.

How do you get out of your funk?

That was me yesterday. And wow, a run was EXACTLY what I needed to feel better! I hope your funk goes away!!!

  2. There are definitely times when I feel “drained”. I usually make myself drink a glass of cold water, in case I am just dehydrated. The coldness helps wake me up too. I do think physical activity will also bring you out of any fogginess! Endorphins! 🙂

I’m feeling the same way today. I also agree that sometimes you just hae to make yourself go out and do your run and then you will feel better.

  4. Sometimes I just give in and take a nap. Not exactly motivational, but sleep is always welcome.
